Meet Dr. Cheryl

Cheryl Sellers, D.D.S.

Dr. Cheryl was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She graduated from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas with a Biology Degree in 1994. She then entered the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School – receiving her D.D.S. degree in 1999. Dr. Cheryl continued her dental education by attending the Medical College of Georgia Dental School, where she obtained a two-year specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2001. Then, continued further by achieving Diplomate status with American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She also regularly attends professional meetings and yearly continuing education courses to stay up-to-date with the current standards of pediatric dentistry.Dr. Cheryl has been in private practice in New Braunfels, Texas since 2001. She first worked along-side Dr. Rita Warren, then became owner of Children’s Dentistry of New Braunfels in 2003. Recently, she expanded to a new state-of-the-art facility and renamed the practice – Children’s Dental Ark.Dr. Cheryl is a member of the following professional dental organizations: American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, San Antonio Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, River District Dental Society.When not performing “dentist” duties, Dr. Cheryl enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter, and English bulldog, Oscar.

Meet Dr. Kit

Kristopher Bennion, D.M.D.

Dr. Kit was born an Army Brat and has lived all over the world growing up. He was born in Arizona, and then, over the next 20 years, lived in Germany, California, Kansas, Korea, Pennsylvania, Idaho and Utah. Dr. Kit graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) with a B.S. Degree in Neuroscience in 2002. After his graduation, he attended Dental School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his D.M.D. (Doctor of Medical Dentistry). He completed a two-year Pediatric Dental residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Kit moved to New Braunfels and has been practicing with Children’s Dental Ark since August of 2008.Dr. Kit recently achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and tested in the top 3% on the qualifying exam for the board. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the American Dental Association (ADA), and Texas Dental Association (TDA), regularly attending local meetings and national meetings.When not being a dentist, Dr. Kit spends time with his wife and young children. He is married to a Dallas-native who is excited to be back home in Texas. Dr. Kit has three children – his oldest, a spirited girl, a boy in the middle, and the latest addition to the family, a healthy little girl. He loves reading, playing basketball, riding bikes, music, and cheering for the evil empire, i.e. the Yankees.



Meet Our Team

Sandra - R.D.H.

Sandra was born in Oklahoma, and moved to Texas as an infant. As a daughter of a dentist, she has strong “roots” in dentistry. Sandra received her Dental Hygiene Degree from Wharton Junior College. Sandra has extensive and varied dental experience, from general practice to periodontics, to now pediatrics. She has been with Children’s Dental Ark since 1995. Sandra’s daughter is a recent graduate from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in English and art history. Sandra’s interests include reading, sewing, baking, cooking, and loving her two kitties, Prissy and Sassy.

Jayne Ann - R.D.H.

Originally from San Marcos, Jayne Ann moved to New Braunfels in 1992. She completed her Dental Hygiene education in Beeville, Texas in 1980, and has enjoyed practicing over the years. Jayne Ann began her hygiene career in College Station with a general dentist, continued in San Marcos with an orthodontist, then with Children’s Dental Ark since our original start in 1995. Ever since she started working with children – she never looked back. Jayne Ann has three children – She and her husband enjoy spending time with friends and family and attending sports/outdoor activities.

Cheryl - R.D.H.

Cheryl is from Hondo, Texas. After completing Dental Hygiene School at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, she worked in a general dental practice for sixteen years. Cheryl has been with Children’s Dental Ark since 2008, and has really enjoyed the wonders of working with children. Her family has been in New Braunfels since 2006 where her son and daughter attend school. Cheryl and her husband enjoy traveling the world, good food and wine, and spending time with friends and family.

Anita - R.D.H.

Anita was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. She graduated from Weber State University in Ogden in 1994 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been licensed and has practiced in not only Texas, but Utah and Indiana as well. Anita has lived here in New Braunfels with her husband and three boys since 2004 -- and has been with Children’s Dental Ark since 2008. She loves spending time with her boys and working with the “kiddos” here at the Ark.

Vicki – Office Manager

Vicki was born in Louisiana, but has enjoyed living in New Braunfels for most of her life. She has been our Office Manager since 2002 and is your contact for fee questions and insurance answers. Vicki helps each of our families as she works through treatment plans and payment options. In her spare time, Vicki loves spending time with her two children.

Marcia – Treatment Coordinator

Marcia has lived in New Braunfels since 1997. She worked in the childcare field for five years prior to joining our team in 2005. Here at Children’s Dental Ark, Marcia is always happy to help with financial and insurance questions. She will work with you to set appointments that fit into today’s busy schedules. Marcia enjoys being involved in her church, school, and community. She and her husband spend time traveling and supporting various sports events with their three children.

Jessica – Front Office

Jessica was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle. She has been with Children’s Dental Ark since she moved to New Braunfels in 2005. Jessica enjoys greeting our patients everyday and is very people-oriented. She helps our patients with busy schedules and insurance questions. Making our patients happy keeps her smiling. When not here at the Ark, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and weenie dog, Nayla Rose.

Keli – Dental Assistant

Keli grew up in the surrounding New Braunfels/ San Antonio area. She joined Children’s Dental Ark twelve years ago and is very experienced and skilled in dental procedures for children. She loves interacting with our patients and helping our parents feel at ease. Keli enjoys spending all of her free time with her husband, young son and daughter.

Kim – Dental Assistant

Kim was born in California and moved to New Braunfels with her family in 1984. She has been with Children’s Dental Ark since 1999. As a dental assistant, Kim is trained to make our patients experiences as easy as possible. She is always available to answer treatment questions you may have. At home, Kim and her husband enjoy Nascar and sports, and spending quality time with their two sons.

Katherine – Dental Assistant

Katherine was born and raised here in New Braunfels. She has been with Children’s Dental Ark since 2004 and is a highly trained chair-side dental assistant. Katherine is both knowledgeable and technically skilled in working with children in the dental setting. Katherine and her husband have a son and daughter, one dog and two cats. She enjoys spending time with her children’s sports activities. Katherine is always on the go.

Brooke – Dental Assistant

Brooke is a native Texan. Although the newest addition to Children’s Dental Ark, she has been a dental assistant since 2000. She will always wear a smile and is well-trained to make our patients visits as pleasant as can be. In her free time, Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter. She also enjoys scrap booking as a hobby.
